Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford (born April 14 1988) was an American performer, actor and dancer. Her first roles on Broadway include the Musicals Wicked Legally Blonde and Hair. in You Can't Take It With You in which she was awarded the Tony Award as Best Featured actor in a Play. Annaleigh Ashley Tony Award winning actor and actress, has worked with actors and directors in stage and on screen throughout her entire career. Ashford's next project will be an exclusive Hulu show called Welcome to Chippendales, created by Robert Siegel. The show premieres on November 22, and Ashford plays opposite Kumail Najiani. Ashford's upcoming project is Searchlight Pictures horror thriller Dust, starring alongside Sarah Paulson and Ebonmoss-Bachrach. The film is scheduled to stream on Disney's DTC platforms and will be available as a Hulu Original. Ashford will return to Broadway in March 2023, in which he'll be starring alongside Josh Groban opposite Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. The production will be held located at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Thomas Kail, director and producer of Hamilton will direct the production. Ashford played Paula Jones, the main actor in Ryan Murphy's upcoming FX series American Crime Story Impeachment. The series is based on the scandal that brought Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp along with other key characters into the first ever impeachment trial in the United States in over a century. She was in two seasons of popular CBS comedy B Positive. The show was created by Marco Pennette and Chuck Lorre the show also starred famous actors Linda Lavin Hector Elizondo and Ben Vereen.No no stranger to Broadway Ashford has won Tony Drama Desk and Outer Critics Circle Awards for her portrayal of Essie In You Can't Take It with You. Sunday in the Park with George Wicked legally blonde and the original role of Lauren of Kinky Boots were among her other Broadway roles. Ashford, who was brought up in Denver and now lives living in Los Angeles and New York.
